    Description

    BLACK  ALENCON LACE garter with red ribbon trim.  Alencon lace has been re-embroidered - that is the floral motifs on the lace have been outlined with small cording to emphasize the design and to make the lace more substantial.  The garter measure  3 1/2" from top to bottom and has scalloped edges. The width adjusts from  15 1/2"  to 22 1/2" because of an elastic that is threaded through a red satin ribbon casing. The garter should be worn above the knee.
    The garter is decorated with a ribbon rosette made up of black ribbon  loops  with a picot edge, red satin ribbon loops  and a red satin ribbon rose in the center. There are also several ribbon streamers.
    The garter is packaged in a clear cellophane floris corsage bag with a ribbon closure.
